內徑尺寸的確定因素主要有內裝物大外徑尺寸、按內裝物形式確定的公差系數、內裝物排列方式、內裝物隔襯與緩沖件的相關尺寸。內徑尺寸的計算可由下式得到：Xi=Xmaxnx+d(nx－1) +k’ +T。式中，Xi為紙箱內徑尺寸；Xmax為單個內裝物大外徑尺寸；d為內裝物在紙箱內某一方向的排列數目；k’為紙箱內徑尺寸補償量；T是隔襯或緩沖件總厚度。長度單位均為mm。需要滿足Xi >內裝商品的外徑尺寸。修正系數及公差系數可查表得到。

瓦楞紙箱外搖蓋的制造尺寸也是需要注意的一個關鍵部位。在瓦楞紙箱外搖蓋對接封合的箱型中，如0201、0204、0207等，搖蓋寬度制造尺寸理論值應為箱寬制造尺寸的二分之一。但是，由于內搖蓋的回彈作用，箱蓋合上后并不是水平的，而是略傾斜，外搖蓋必然在對接處產生一定的間隙。因此，外搖蓋的寬度并不是寬度的一半，而是稍長，所以在實際的生產中要加上一個放大系數。放大系數可以通過三角函數計算得出。不過，由于紙箱自身的可塑性，也為了便于計算，多數企業都根據紙板的厚度計算出一個固定的放大系數。如下表所示：

當然，這樣的放大系數只是適合于一般的瓦楞紙箱，如果遇到對搖蓋要求很高的紙箱，可以通過函數求出紙箱搖蓋的放大系數。另外，上表列出的放大系數不適合于寬度低于20 cm的紙箱。

3.接頭尺寸的設計

瓦楞紙箱通過粘合、釘合接頭來成型，接頭尺的尺寸一般根據瓦楞層數及工廠的工藝水平而定。為保持主箱面（LH面）的印刷面不被破壞，接頭一般應與LH面連接。單瓦楞接頭尺寸一般為35 mm～40 mm，雙瓦楞45 mm～50 mm，三瓦楞為50 mm。

紙板的長度=2L+2B+紙箱的結舌；

根據公式，我們計算出紙箱的落料規格。這里計算出了紙箱的凈料規格，在生產時還會修邊。為了盡量節省材料，一般修邊尺寸不會大于1 cm。靠近結舌的邊不需要修邊。異型箱落料尺寸根據同樣的原理即可算出，只是不同的箱型計算的公式不一樣而已。
